An Arizona police officer has been charged with murder and aggravated assault in the death of a man who was tied up and beaten and left on the side of a road in Arizona last year.
According to a probable cause affidavit, the incident occurred at a gas station in the city of Mesa, where police say the victim, Robert Dominguez, had recently purchased a vehicle and was waiting for gas.
According the affidavit, Domingez’s friend had asked the suspect if he wanted to buy gas, and the suspect allegedly said, “Yes, I would.”
Police say Dominguez was then assaulted by Domingos friend, who was later arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
According, police, Domsonz was also shot in the face and chest with a bean bag gun and suffered a broken left rib in the incident.
Police say the suspect was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead.
