The states that rank high in health insurance coverage have also fared better in the last year, according to a study published Thursday.
In 2015, 42 percent of people who were uninsured in those states received health insurance, according the Kaiser Family Foundation, which looked at data from the Health Insurance Marketplace in those jurisdictions.
That’s down from 43 percent in 2014.
In the last five years, those states have ranked No. 1 in terms of overall health coverage, with the highest percentage of uninsured people getting health insurance in Texas at 47 percent, according data from Avalere Health.
In 2016, Texas ranked third in terms, with 41 percent of the state’s uninsured people receiving health insurance.
