Samsung Health is planning to open a new location in New Jersey.
The company said on Tuesday it is moving its headquarters from its current headquarters in the New Jersey town of Morrissey to the state capital, Trenton.
The move is part of Samsung’s strategy to expand its presence in New Yorkers, as the company looks to expand beyond smartphones.
Samsung Health said it will be the first company in the U.S. to open in New Brunswick.
The new facility, which will be called the Samsung Health Innovation and Technology Center, will be located on the campus of Rutgers University in New Bergen.
The news comes after Samsung reported a decline in smartphone shipments in the first quarter of 2017.
Samsung’s stock fell 2% in morning trading.
In the third quarter of 2016, Samsung reported sales of 8.3 million smartphones, up 6% from the same period last year.
Samsung will begin its new location this week.
The building, located at 828 East 6th Street, is expected to open this summer.
Samsung said it expects to add around 400 new employees to the new facility.
